hi, i'm nichole! i'm 33 and i live in the eagle rock neighborhood of los angeles (don't worry, most locals don't know where it is, either!) with my cute dog and my even cuter boyfriend. i work for a fabric company, with all things quilts. it's kind of a dream job and i feel so lucky to be able to do it for a living!

i've been quilting since 2006, but i don't have nearly enough quilts under my belt to have been sewing so long. i feel like i have only become a strong sewer in the last year. i belong to the los angeles modern quilt guild and the inspiring folks there have really helped my sewing blossom! i am currently the co-president of the guild, and while it's challenging, it's totally worth it. it's been so much fun being a part of that group.

some of my favorite things to do are: photography, baking and cooking, bike riding and going to concerts! i used to be a music journalist and my record is 20 shows in one month, but that was many (maaaaanny) years ago!

this site has been started as a new years resolution. i have been blogging since 2001 (at foxinthesnow) but i want to motivate myself to quilt more! so i have made the resolution to make at least eleven quilts this year (hopefully more!) and this blog will record my progress!
